The cookies we use
Introduction
This policy aims to explain how this website uses cookies in order to provide clear and relevant information to enable you to make your own choices about what happens when you access the site. The policy uses the term ‘cookies’ to refer to information files that store, on the user’s computer, navigation made on the Internet to speed up and optimize the search and similar technologies covered by the law (such as, for example, Local Shared Objects – commonly referred to as “flash cookies”, web beacons or bugs, including clear gifs). The information collected relates to data that could make it possible to identify users/visitors through association and processing with data held by third parties (such as, for example, IP address numbers, domain names of computers used by people connecting to the website). This data is only used for statistical purposes.
This document is an integral and substantial part of the Privacy Policy and the information contained therein issued also pursuant to EU Regulation no. 2016/679 (GDPR). We therefore invite you to read this document.
Applicable law
This matter is governed by European Directive 2002/58 /EC – subsequently amended by Directive 2009/136 /EC and transposed by the national laws of the Member States of the European Union – which requires consent to be obtained for cookies and similar technologies.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file, usually of letters and numbers, downloaded onto a device when the user accesses a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating site on each subsequent visit. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device.
The use of cookies and similar technologies has long been commonplace as cookies are important in the provision of many online services. The use of these technologies is therefore not prohibited by law, but requires that the user be informed about cookies and given the opportunity to accept or reject them.
Different types of cookies
Session and persistent cookies
Cookies can expire at the end of a browser session (i.e., from when a user opens the browser window until they exit the browser) or they can be stored for longer.
Session cookies – allow websites to link to a user’s actions during a browser session. They can be used for a variety of purposes, such as remembering what a user has put in their shopping cart while browsing a site. They could also be used for security when a user logs into internet banking or to facilitate the use of web-mail. These session cookies expire after one browser session.
The use of so-called session cookies (which, in any case, are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and are deleted automatically as soon as the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of data (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) that identify the specific session and are necessary to enable safe and efficient exploration. The so-called session cookies used on this site avoid the use of other computer techniques that could potentially prejudice the confidentiality of users’ web surfing.
Persistent cookies – are stored on the users device between separate browser sessions and allow the user’s actions on a site to be remembered. Persistent cookies can be used for a variety of purposes, including remembering users’ preferences and choices when using a site (or in some cases across different websites).
First’ and ‘third party’ cookies – Whether a cookie is a ‘first’ or ‘third party’ cookie is closely linked to the website or domain that uses that particular cookie. First party’ cookies, in essence, are cookies set by the same website that the user visits – i.e. the website displayed in the URL window: in our case, cookies set by www.webagency.global. Third-party” cookies are cookies that are set by a domain other than the one visited by the user: i.e. cookies that are set by websites other than www.webagency.global. When you visited www.webagency.global Google Analytics set the cookie called ‘_ga’ via the gstatic.com domain, this specific cookie is a ‘third party’ cookie.
Ownership of processing
Webagency.global, as identified in the Privacy policy, is the data controller – and is liable only for its own, i.e. ‘first party’, cookies; otherwise, ‘third party’ cookies are the responsibility of the relevant companies, identified according to the table in this document.
Consent for cookies
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the Internet and do not require the user’s consent, such as those to ensure that the content of a page loads quickly and efficiently, the distribution of workload between different computers or those aimed at ensuring security.
Other cookies are also reasonably necessary or important, but are not strictly necessary and therefore require the user’s consent.
This site uses various techniques to collect user consent: one way is to check the specific box on the cookie banner on the page where you access the site and which indicates the use of cookies.
Browser settings are another means of granting consent or, conversely, rejecting cookies; you can set your browser to warn you of the presence of cookies, allowing you to decide whether or not to accept cookies. You can also automatically refuse all cookies by activating the appropriate option in your browser.
Each browser highlights instructions for this purpose.
Withdrawal of consent
Your consent to the use of cookies can be revoked at any time, although revocation may have an impact on the functionality of the website.
Disabling cookies
